What's next

Our organization and planning for “Nice Kitty” is very much the focus of the Trailblazers efforts in 2010.  This trail project has:

  • Over a 1,000 feet of elevation change
  • Approximately 4.3 miles of varied terrain from recovering burned hillsides with spectacular views to rocky features on steep hillsides and a ponderosa canopy forest
  • All linked by boardwalks and a bridge over Buffalo Creek

“Nice Kitty” will also serve to:

  • Ease user pressure on Shinglemill and Morrison Creek trails
  • Provide an alternate singletrack access for MTB riders climbing to Little Scraggy Trailhead from Buffalo Creek rather than riding the shoulder of Highway 126.
